SHERMAN, Tex. -- Storm water is an old problem that many of us don't consider, but now it’s a new issue for the city of Sherman to deal with.
The State of Texas is now mandating all storm water be as pure as possible, but in order to do that the city needs everyone's help from industrial companies to city workers to neighbors.
The first thing to do is be aware that everything we pour down the city drains into city gutters and into our yards pollutes groundwater, which is what officials want everyone to be aware of.
"Anything that swims and is alive is in that water," says City of Sherman employee Jessica Perkins.
