Fire destroys Denison home

DENISON, TX -- A fire Thursday morning destroyed a home on Thatcher Street in Denison, and the woman inside didn't even know what was happening.

Fire officials say they woke the elderly woman up in her home after they arrived on the scene in the 600 block of Thatcher Street in Denison.

The woman's home was fully engulfed.

No word on what started this fire.

An investigation will begin to determine how and where it started.

The woman was taken by ambulance to Texoma Medical Center and treated for smoke inhalation.
