ANNA, Tex. -- A weekend accident in Anna sent three people to the hospital. It happened Saturday night at the intersection of Highway 121 and FM 2862.

Police say John M. Roche, 32, was traveling eastbound on FM 2862 when he failed to stop at a stop sign. He was then hit by an SUV traveling southbound on 121.

We're told two of Roche's passengers were taken by medical helicopter to Parkland Hospital in Dallas. The passenger of the SUV was also transported.

Officials say Roche may have been under the influence. Blood tests have been requested by the Anna Police Department.

If the passenger still listed in critical condition dies, Roche could face charges of vehicular manslaughter.

This is in response to Trish from Oklahoma. Do you really teach English, or are you a teacher that happens to hail from England?

Okay Okay, I just felt the story had a false lead in. There are a lot of other charges this person COULD face not just manslaughter. It was like they were hoping the person would die so the manslaughter charge could be filed. (Prayers to all involved. I pray all the injured make a full recovery.)

Lori from Tom Bean, you need to proof read what you write because your article makes no sense.Being a English teacher and trying to read what you wrote is almost impossible. As far as the accident wait until law enforcement makes a ruleing on the matter. My heart goes out for those that were hurt .

I first heard of this story from my uncle and had to read it for myself. In March of 2001, my grandfather and his fiancee were killed by a drunk driver. He was conviced on 2 counts of manslaughter. He is now in prison serving two 15 year sentences. He has a 20 year history of DWI and drug abuse, among other offenses. If the driver of the car is proven to have been driving under the influence, I pray that he is punished to the maximum extent of the law. By the way, the man who killed my grandfather happens to be have the last name of Roche; I wonder if they are related.

I read these message boards rather often and find that many people from the same area that I drive to and from work through are very judgmental upon one another. This guy has not even been officially pronounced as drunk and some say he should spend life in prison. I'm sorry country folks, I do love you all and will not be judgmental, but as lori indicates, "please show Have some kind of compassion!" LOL However; where do you get bad reporting out of stating the only facts available at the time of reporting for your (the viewers of kxii) benefit. As an employee of the news industry, not one reporter will make it through their career without being called a bad reporter, or mishap. Thank you kindly!!!

I realize you need a hook these stories because you have poor reporting skills, but MAY have been under the influence doesn't mean they were until the test are back and IF the critical person die, who rude is this. These people have families, please show Have some kind of compassion.

I am praying for the family and the person that is in critical condition. As for the DRUNK that caused the accident, I hope he goes to prison for life!! He does NOT deserve to be free!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I passed by and saw this accident while it was being cleaned up. Very scary - anyone could be next. The drivers that drink and drive need to be put away for a long time - so they can learn how to make wiser choices. Drunks think they are above the law and don't care about anyone or themselves. Age is no factor.
