ARDMORE, Okla. -- Two Ardmore men serving time for armed robbery in Carter County now face federal charges. Linda Muncrief was one of the five people who was bound with duct tape during the robbery.

Shortly afterwards Andron Thompson and Larry White were arrested by authorities, and even though they were set to be released from local custody, federal charges are now pending.

Despite the hold-up in their release, Muncrief still can’t get over that fateful night.

Linda Muncrief has been a Grandy’s employee for the past 12 years, but she will never forget what happened the night of June 29th when authorities say both 19-year-old Andron Thompson and Larry White robbed the restaurant.

"The girl had forgot to lock the drive through window. As soon as we closed, it was totally black out there. We did not know anyone was around. They just jumped in through the window with a gun and told us to hit the floor."

Police arrested both men shortly afterwards.

During their sentencing both Thompson and White entered a blind plea in which Judge Tom Walker gave both men 75 days in the county jail.

Now federal authorities are getting involved in what was originally a local case.

"The defendants are charged with interfering or attempting to interfere with commerce by robbery using a fire arm.”

Muncrief says to this day everyone she works with still talks about the robbery and Judge Walker’s controversial decision to sentence the two men to just more than two months in jail.

"Our stance is that the sentence that has previously been imposed is manifestly inadequate."

Even though both Thompson and White's release has been blocked by the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Muncrief still cannot get over that terrifying night.

"I’m scared to back my car up the front door… scared to go from the door to the car. I thought I would get over it after a while but it doesn’t seem to get any easier."

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, both Thompson and White could face 20 years and a $250,000 fine.
