SHERMAN, Tex. -- Police are looking for suspects after a report of an attempted mugging in Sherman. It happened at the intersection of North Cleveland Avenue and Dorchester Street.

Police say a 22-year-old man was walking home when a car came up behind him and at least three men got out of the car and started running after him asking for his wallet.

Police say they were kicking and hitting the man for about five minutes.

They gave up and drove away without his wallet.

No word on the extent of the victim's injuries.

I totally agree with Terri. So many people judge you by where you live, what type of job you have and what type of car you drive. Society is so sad with this type of attitude. We should all take a step back and check ourselves. I know when it's all said and done. There's not going to be a rich section in heaven. God doesn't judge us by what we have but by the type of heart we have and what we do during our time on earth. Pray for the person that attempted to rob and pray for the safety of the people that were attacked. Our greatest challenge is to love and help those that despitefully misuse us, because it's easy to love the people that love us in return. Get it!:)

To Wow in Sherman: What is your point re: the "Did ya eva thank?" comment?" Apparently, you should speak/write in English. To Terri: I read the posts previous to yours, and no one suggested anything about where muggers may be from. Certainly, none of those posts criticized the victim in any way. My point, and I assume Jeffs, is that this story, like so many others on the TV news and the newspapers, too often omit any description of perpetrators of these crimes. Perhaps its a political correctness issue. Perhaps its a matter of a reporter asking a few questions rather than just relying upon sketchy press releases from the police. The story doesn't indicate the time of day the attack occurred, but apparently a neighbor (see Stormy) has info that it occurred around 2am. If true, this story was reported many hours after the attack, yet there is "no word" on the extent of the victims injuries?!? In other words, KXII had yet to be spoonfed information, so the public gets no information.

Ralph & Jeff...did ya eva thank? (Trying to speak in a way ya'll would understand.) The guy was attacked for 5 minutes and could have been too freaked out and injured to remember what hit him?? I would hope that when they do get a description (if the guy that was attacked is still alive) KXII will report it.

First of all I live in between Dorchester and Tuck on Cleveland St... I have a dime in my pocket "mom" and it's not a bad neighborhood there are alot worse places, how do you people know the people who mugged him aren't from "YOUR" neighborhood... Why do people emphasize on where people come from? That has nothing to do with anything, you can be rich and live in a high class neighborhood and still be a drug dealer, or a rapist or whatever.... Quit worrying about everything that doesn't matter. How about asking if the person is ok instead of criticizing? If you were getting chased by guys and pushed down and kicked and hit you probably wouldn't be able to describe the muggers either... So until you are in that situation (which I hope doesn't happen) don't go talking bad about the person who got mugged...

well said ralph, this is very sloppy and unproffesional, no information whatsoever. A description of the attackers and vehicle could not only help catch these people, but could also save someone else from getting hurt.COME ON CHARLIE WHAT IS THE PROBLEM!!!!!!!

No description of the attackers?!?! No description of the vehicle?!?! Why bother to report this story in this manner? "In the news today, someone got mugged. No film at eleven."
