LEBANON, OK -- Fire destroyed a Marshall County business that was also one family's home. Family members say Eugene and Nita Arterberry ran what many called "The Auction House,” a place where the couple held auctions to raise money for children in need.
Shortly after midnight on Thursday, Nita left to pick up Eugene from work. When they returned, they found the auction house and their home completely engulfed in fire.
"For somebody that's done so much for the community, to lose so much in one night is really hard, especially when you don't have anything to help gain anything back. Everything they owned was in there," niece Gina Arterberry said.
The fire is under investigation. No official cause has been released.
If you'd like to help this family, an account has been set up at Landmark Bank in Madill under Anita Arterberry, but you can make a deposit at any Landmark Bank.
