POTTSBORO, Tex. -- The City of Pottsboro now owes the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality over $220,000.

The fine comes eight months after Pottsboro’s sewer plant was found to be non-compliant.

TCEQ stresses that this is not a final report, and the city does have the option of submitting a supplemental and environmental project as a way to reduce the penalty or put the money they owe for the fine toward other improvements within Pottsboro.

The City of Pottsboro says they are looking into those types of projects.

Gee, I wonder if the City of Pottsboro is as forgiving with the traffic citations they pass out, as the expect the state to be with them?
