SHERMAN, TX -- Tim Coleman, the Collin County inmate who walked away from a roadside work detail on Friday, is again behind bars Monday morning.

Coleman, 43, has been on the run since Friday when he walked away from a work detail in Collin County. Authorities say Coleman was working near County Road 319 and FM 3286 when he disappeared.

Coleman was in jail serving a sentence for DWI. They had already revoked his probation once, but on Friday he was able to escape his work convoy.

Officials said he was from Sherman, and that's exactly where they found him Monday morning around 1:30 a.m.

Just after one o'clock Monday morning, a Sherman officer tried to stop Coleman on North Rusk Street. He was driving a tan Chevy pick up.

Coleman then took off, before he finally stopped a few blocks away on Lincoln Street, but then took off on foot.

Police finally stopped him near Piner Middle School on West Houston. Officers had to use a stun-gun to finally get him under control.

He then gave them a false name.

Coleman will now await extradition back to Collin County. He is currently in the Grayson County Jail.

Maybe his family will join him in jail. I bet he has quite a record, or at least a drinking problem. I feel for the baby and hope she is safe. Who helped him? Where did he get the truck? They should be facing charges also.

Only a DWI. Drunk Drivers kill people on the roads all the time. Now it looks like his family can go see him in the jail!

What a dip wad, this Bubba just increased his time. Maybe he will get to go to a real prison instead of the county jail. The statement made below that "he just wants to get to his family" and is not dangerous. Yes...you go ahead and "feel sorry for him". I say "Phoey" to that because you don't know what other charges if any are against this person. It takes a lot of charges to get your probation revoked...yeah, this guy is going to the Big Jail now and he should. What a loser.

Only a DWI. Would you feel the same if he were to hit your family or a friend while driving while intoxicated? He is dangerous. Hope he get's 50 years for this.

This man was only wanted for DWI, he was not a criminal wanted or wanted on killing someone so no one was in harms way he just wanted to get to his family and that is where he went, there is no telling he was probably fixing to get out and now he has to stay a lot longer now
