GAINESVILLE, Tex. – It was a busy night for police with vandals in Gainesville on Sunday. In just a few hours, nine vehicles were hit on five different streets, including Truelove and North Denton.

All of the vehicles had two slashed tires, causing damages up to $200. One of the cars was also hit with oatmeal and eggs.

Interim Police Chief Fleming says it looks like the tires were slashed with a knife and that the attacks seem to be random.

Unfortunately there are no suspects yet, but police will be patrolling the area.

How can 9, NINE vehicles have two slashed tires and it only caused "up to" $200 worth of damage?? I would think the oatmeal and eggs alone cost $200 in damage. Did they just slash the "maypop" tires only? I would think it was $200 damage PER vehicle...but you know you have to believe the news reports nowadays.
