Sherman home damaged by fire

SHERMAN, Tex. -- A Sherman family is now without a home after a fire Monday afternoon.

The fire started around 1 p.m at a home in the 4000 block of Turtle Creek in Sherman. Fire fighters arrived to find flames shooting out of one of the bedrooms.

The fire didn't spread but there is heat and smoke damage throughout the home and attic.

No one was injured in the fire. Firefighters are investigating the cause of the blaze.
