Almost two years later crop and livestock producers are now eligible for a disaster program from the 2005 and 2006 drought.
This program mainly deals with quantity losses, so if you produce crops or livestock you could be eligible for compensation.
The Farm Service Agency Director says this drought didn't just affect big crops.
“It affects producers locally very much so. The drought and disaster affects their income. So this disaster aid, albeit late, is much needed."
You can sign up at any farm service agency, and as of now, there is no deadline to file.
