SHERMAN, Tex. -- Thursday is the Great American Smoke-Out, and to honor and celebrate the occasion, Wilson N. Jones Hospital is now completely tobacco-free.
As of Thursday, no one can smoke on the WNJ campus. That includes doctors, patients, visitors, and employees. CEO Pat Flynn says the doctors are the ones who started this initiative back in March, and they have been planning for Thursday ever since.
"Going tobacco-free for this campus really makes a statement for our patients and employees and how we want improve the health of our staff and community and protect the health of our patients," Flynn said.
In case you were wondering, if you are a smoker, you have to leave the campus by driving completely off property.
