SHERMAN, TX -- Police are investigating break-ins at two different Sherman businesses.

Whistle Stop break-in

SHERMAN, TX -- Police are still investigating a break-in at the Whistle Stop Car Wash in Sherman. They do have surveillance video.

Authorities say someone broke into the car wash bay and climbed into the attic trying to reach the office area but they never made it in. A cashier at the car wash says the damage has already been fixed.

Police say last week, they got a call for a possible break-in at Dayton Tires, which is next door to Whistle Stop. There's no word yet if the two are related.

KFC break-in

SHERMAN, TX – Another break-in occurred at the Kentucky Fried Chicken in Sherman. Employees tell us burglars unsuccessfully tried to break in Saturday night but came back Monday night and got in. Evidence shows they pried the back door open, busting the deadlock and the peep hole in the process.

The store's general manager says once inside, they attempted to break open the safe but were unable to open it. They then went to the drive-through cash register but once again were unsuccessful. The security system did go off, but the store manager says the alarm company did not call the police and only called the store where they got no answer.

The police are looking into several people who may be suspects.
