Man injures 1 in alcohol-related crash in Carter Co.

DICKSON, Okla. -- A Carter County man is in jail after a serious alcohol-related accident Sunday morning.

The accident happened on Highway 199 near Red Cedar Road. Dickson Police arrested Rodney Aaron Wood, 46, after he made a u-turn in the middle of Highway 199 after running his car into a ditch. He then hit another vehicle driven by Elizabeth Jackson. Jackson suffered several broken bones.

Wood now faces aggravated driving under the influence and reckless driving charges.

    A mug only his mother would love. I bet she's proud too! He probably spent only a couple of hours in jail...that's all they keep them in anymore.

    wow. so they only put him in jail. its funny how they put someone in prison for drugs. BUT DRUNK DRIVING ALMOST KIILING SOMEONE in jail... people these days

    Doesn't look like this is his first time either!! Are they waiting on him to kill someone before they prosecute him and lock him up?? SAD that someone has to get hurt or killed before they decide something needs to be done! If they put more of these guys away the FIRST time then these repeat offenders would maybe think twice!! OR GET A DESIGNATED DRIVER!!!!
