SHERMAN, Tex. -- The City of Sherman is working to improve and repair area roads. Sherman voters passed a sales tax increase in the November election to pay for those road repairs.
Director of public works Jeff Miller says the sales tax increase supports a five-year plan that will put money toward construction.
"It’s a combination of three things: brand new streets, completely rebuilding existing streets and resurfacing some of our existing streets," Miller said.
Miller says $200,000 worth of work has already been completed.
