SHERMAN, TX -- A portion of Taylor Street in Sherman shut down Wednesday night when a van hit a power pole. Sherman police say the van was headed east on Taylor around 7 p.m. when the driver ran a stop sign at Taylor and Woods.
He then went through a resident's yard, hitting the power pole, and damaging some lines.
No one was hurt, but police say Taylor was blocked off for at least two hours while Oncor repaired the lines.
No word whether the driver was ticketed.
Police reopened Taylor St. about 9 p.m.
