COLLIN COUNTY, Tex. -- Neighbors in McKinney now have a reason to help conserve water. They can now get money back on their water bill.
A water rebate program started November 15th in which residential homeowners can get a rebate by retrofitting their sprinkler systems with new water-saving controllers.
So far, only residential sprinklers qualify for the $25-$125 rebate, but city officials hope to expand the program to conserve commercial and indoor water use as well.
