SHERMAN, TX -- Leaders from across North Texas gathered Thursday morning in Sherman to discuss what lies ahead for the city of Sherman. Everything from education to economic growth was talked about at Municipal Ballroom.

Among those who spoke were U.S. Congressman Ralph Hall, State Representative Larry Phillips, and Austin College president Oscar Paige.

Organizers say the event provides the community a chance to hear what lies ahead, and what it will take to get there.

The event was free for all who wanted to attend.

You might need to restate your story if anyone but me, myself, & I actually read it. The event was (keyword "was") FREE for those that were INVITED to attend. Get real!! Do you really think that any of "us public" people were invited??? I don't think so Tim.
