SHERMAN, Tex. -- A search for a shooting suspect ends with one man at large, another in custody, and a car slammed into a fence at Fairview Park.

Grayson County Sheriff's Deputies say the shooting happened off Dripping Springs Road, southeast of Denison. Shots were fired at a vacant vehicle. No one was injured, but authorities were on the lookout for a white Cadillac out of Bonham, possibly headed toward Sherman.

Knowing that information, an officer in Sherman attempted to pull over a white Cadillac registered to a man in Bonham. The man refused to stop and led police on a chase through the city.

The suspect, 28-year-old Cornelious Wilson, ended up on a baseball field crashing through a fence at Fairview Park. The driver's side door was dented in with the side-view mirror ripped off.

Wilson then took off running down one of the side streets. He was apprehended and taken into custody around midnight Monday morning. Police are still investigating if he is the suspect in the shooting.

It is unknown if the shooting and the chase are related.
