GRAYSON COUNTY, Tex. -- Another road in Grayson County is having its speed limit lowered. Merriman Parkway in Precinct One is currently posted at 45 miles per hour, but after a public hearing on Monday morning, commissioners decided to lower the speed limit to 30.
Precinct 1 Commissioner Johnny Waldrip says it was necessary because the current speed is not feasible.
"The road is not adequate for 45 miles per hour for about a mile long," Waldrip says.
Merriman Parkway is one of at least two roads to have its speed limit lowered in the county in the past two months.
