DENISON, Tex. -- A popular Denison restaurant suddenly shuts its doors. A sign in the door at Garcia’s Mexican Restaurant says they are closed. The front doors are also locked.
Employees tell us they showed up for work today as usual and were told the restaurant was closing.
Owner Jerry O’Brien refused to speak on camera, but says they simply were not making enough money.
Garcia’s has been a longtime fixture in Denison.
The restaurant recently moved to a new location on U.S. Highway 75.
