Truck fire damages Durant home

DURANT, Okla. -- It was a close call for a Durant man after his truck caught fire on Arrowhead Lane in Durant.

The fire damaged a nearby home.

The owner says a neighbor called him about the vehicle igniting. He tried to put it out with a water hose, but the hose was frozen.

Firefighter were able to douse the flames, but not before a corner of the house was damaged.

    first of all lets get things right. this was not a "truck" that caused the fire damage. this was a "pickup' seems like everytime there is a pickup involved in something it is always classifed as a TRUCK' truckers get blamed for enough as it is and don't need this kind of news. we would like for the news stations to stop referrings to pickups as trucks in the future. truckers need support not beening blamed for every accident involving a pickup thanks
