WILSON, Okla. -- Wilson investigators say that former store manager Jody Blodgett has admitted to stealing almost $9,000 in 2006 from the Super C Supermarket in Wilson.

On Monday, we were told by investigators that Blodgett had also admitted to stealing an additional $17,000, bringing the total to almost $26,000.

Police say that Blodgett had gambled the money away at the Black Gold Casino.

Blodgett was arrested late Monday afternoon for allegedly stealing thousands of dollars from the Super C-Market in Wilson.

Police are now looking into allegations of Blodgett possibly stealing between $55,000 and $250,000 from the supermarket over the past nine years.

Blodgett is in the Carter County Jail facing three counts of embezzlement charges.

Two Super C clerks were arrested in August 2007 for stealing from the grocery store after they tried to pass it off to police that they were robbed (see Related Stories below).

No word on if the arrests are related.

Cancer funds and school donations? Puh-leeze, that wasn't Jody's "generosity", that money came from the store/company, NOT from Jody himself. I doubt he was pulling money out of his own pockets to donate (unless the money in his pockets was money he stole from the store, ha ha). I am curious about one thing, everybody is sobbing about how he needs support and help for his "addiction". But what about other types of addicts, like drug addicts or porn addicts? Why does everybody call them foul names and immediately cry and scream for them to be hanged from the nearest limb or spend a lifetime in jail? Aren't they just "regular" people who have problems and have made bad choices? I am not defending their behavior by any means, I just want to know why Jody's behavior is okay, and these other types aren't.
