LOVE COUNTY, Okla. -- The manager of an illegal horse racing operation in Love County will have to pay thousands of dollars in fines and penalties.
Jesse Romero was sentenced in Love County District Court today for his role in a gambling operation.
Law officers raided the track outside of Thackerville back in July.
Oklahoma Attorney General Drew Edmondson says Romero will have to pay $37,000 after pleading guilty to conspiracy, gambling, and other charges.
Romero is one of 17 people that have pleaded guilty in the case.
