PONTOTOC COUNTY, OK -- An Ada woman has more charges to add to her criminal list.

Rachel Lea Furr, 40, is behind bars once again for making threatening phone calls to her husband's family. She was arrested last November after shooting Harvey Furr point blank in the back with a 12-gauge shotgun.

Mr. Furr has more than 100 lead shotgun pellets in his body and is still recovering from that incident. Ponotoc County Sheriff's Deputies say Furr made the harassing calls last week.

Her bond has been set at $250,000.

American, if it was "self-defense" then why was she harrasing and making phone calls to the guy? Doesn't sound like someone who just tried to defend herself to me.

Okay, she shot her husband. Maybe it was self defense. And whose to say that his family hadn't been calling her. Not taking her side.......just trying to look at it from all angles. Unlike some unbelievably inmature people who insist on the na-na boo-boo mentality just to post a blog. GROW UP and stick to the subject!

She was out of jail on bond because of the wonderful justice system that we have in America, (Oklahoma and Texas included since everyone wants to point fingers) it's set to work for the lovely criminals that we have in this country. If you can make bail, regardless of the crime, you can get out!!! Judges, I think, do have the option to not post bail but rarely do.

To Durant you are wrong, all the nutcases are in Oklahoma. Oklahoma is always on this website with some kind of crime.
