JBF founders Shannon Wilburn and Daven Tackett turned their big idea into a big business. What started as a small consignment sale in a living room in Tulsa in 1997 has grown into a multi-million dollar business. In 2007, JBF Franchise Systems Inc.’s gross revenues topped more than $4.5 million.

To date, JBF has 61 franchises in 16 states, including a franchise in Sherman-Denison. Owners Jayme Maxwell and Sandy Jameson bought the franchise in fall 2007 and are planning their first sale this spring. It is scheduled for April 25th – April 27th at the Finley Cultural Center.

They expect close to 100 families to consign thousands of children’s and maternity items at the sale. They will receive up to 70 percent of what their items sell for at the event. In addition, several hundred families will save up to 85 percent on thousands of items they need for their family, including:

- Clothing & Shoes

- Toys

- Baby Furniture

- Layette Items

- Car Seats & Safety Items

- Books, DVDs & Games

- Maternity items

JBF'S Founders will be featured Tuesday January 29th on CNBC's "The Big Idea."
