SHERMAN, Tex. -- After a fire at the Kroger Grocery Store in Sherman Wednesday night, they are open for business on Thursday.
Firefighters got the call around nine o'clock Wednesday night that the men’s bathroom was on fire. Upon arrival, they found heavy smoke in the back of the store.
Fire Marshal Danny Fuller says it looked suspicious, so he and the fire chief were called in to investigate
"We’re investigating as to the origin of the cause, during that time, an anonymous person called Kroger and implicated a person that set the fire,” Fuller said.
The store was closed for about and hour and half but is open now.
Smoke damage is estimated at about $5,000.
