BONHAM, Tex. -- Ricky Lee Hall is headed to prison for killing a woman in a drunk driving accident. Hall made a plea deal in a Fannin County courtroom in early January.

On Thursday, a judge ordered Hall to serve two ten-year sentences that will run concurrently.

The crash happened back in July of 2006 at the intersection of Highways 121 and 56, killing Gloria Lightfoot and seriously injuring her husband, Larry.

Police called it the most violence wreck they had seen in years.

I didnt even know anything about this family, but i literally have to drive past the scene everyday, The family has a billboard dedicated to show off the face of that white trash pos that gets to breath freely everyday...its horrible that someone would even want to defend this man and his actions, it just goes to show that the people defending him are just as trashy. If he was such a good man he wouldve been a grown man and kept his ass at home. Instead the family gets to wonder what their life would be like with her still here. I will pray for this family and that they can find some kind of relief from the tension. I will also hope that Ricky Hall and his family get their heads out of their ass and realize what actually happened... For the shmucks that say that they cared, where were they when he took off driving, where was he going that was so important? to get cigaretts? to go get drugs? Either way, I will just hope that Mr. Hall continues to realize what bonhamite trash that he is.

Dear Angelia in Bonham, You are so clueless its pathetic. At least his family will get him back in 10 years or less. The other family will NEVER get there loved one back. There is no comparison. Ricky deserves everything he RECIEVES in prison plus alot more.

I THINK IT WAS WRONG OF RICKY TO DO WHAT HE DID. BUT WE ALL NEED TO REMEMBER. IT COULD'VE BEEN ANYBODY. THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO DO STUPID STUFF EVERYDAY. LIKE DRUGS, YOU DON'T SEE THEM ON THE NEWS OR BAD COMMENTS ABOUT THAT. WHAT ABOUT STABBINGS. I DON'T HEAR YA'LL TALKING BAD ABOUT THEM. WHAT I'M SAYING IS. RICKY HAS ENOUGH TO BE ASHAMED OF. WE ALL KNOW IT WAS WRONG AND WE DISLIKE WHAT HAPPENED. CAN YOU IMAGE IF IT WAS YOUR SON THAT HAD KILLED SOMEONE. PUT YOURSELF IN THIER SHOES. YOU WOULDN'T LIKE TO HEAR ALL THIS BAD STUFF WHEN KNOWING YOU HAVE ENOUGH PROBLEMS TO BE ASHAMED ABOUT. I FEEL SORRY FOR BOTH FAMILIES. I KNOW THAT HE WAS RAISE TO DO THE RIGHT THINGS. BUT YOU KNOW AS WELL AS ANYBODY ELSE. WE DO WHAT WE WANT TO DO! I'M JUST SORRY HE MESSED UP. I PRAY THAT ALL YOU PEOPLE NEVER HAVE THIS PROBLEM IN YOUR LIFES WITH ANY OTHER FAMILY MEMEBER. WE ARE NOT PERFECT!!! GOD TAKES US WHEN HE IS READY. AND THAT MIGHT NOT BE THE WAY WE WANT IT. BUT THAT IS WHAT GOES ON. GOD BLESS!!

Well I would like to say to the mother of the acusser,Why did he wait ten years to decide it was the right time to try to press charges???Texas does have a statue of limitaions law..."A prosecution for sexual assault must be brought within 10 years of offense, A prosecution must be brought within 10 years of the victim's 18th birthday."Now this is out of the Texas statutue of limitaion law..Curious why there was such a long period of time? And anonymous maybe you should read alittle more before you start talking bad about the D.A. of fannin county.1 of 2 reasons chrages didnt get filed. 1 being you waited to long to press charges,2 being there wasnt enough evidence in the case. So, as anyone can go to the sherrifs department and want to press charges against who ever they want for anything, but the law does have rules they must follow. Also,I seem to know that the acussers didnt go to the sherrifs department until after the fact the accident had accured? Why are you saying it was before???

may the husband of the lady that was killed will file 'WRONGFUL DEATH CHARGES" AGAINST HIM NOW. HOPEFUL HE WILL GET LIFE IN PRISON. as to we suffer in kingston that is wrong that a person gets 1 year for killing a mother and son. what are the laws in okla. thinking. maybe you have the same d.a. that we do. i just hopw that her family will also sue her for wrongful death also. i would really like to know the out come of this case also. this must be so heard to know that you can go ut in okla. get drunk and kill some one annd only get a year for that. that is just wrong.

Hey anonymous. It looks like yall are part to blame for him not getting more jail time. If yall would have pressed charges for him molesting your son, instead of just sitting there and doing nothing they could have stacked all the charges and he could be gone for life. Instead he will be back in a few years to do who knows what to someone elses kid. Its not too late to press charges against him. But you owe it to your Son and the rest of the community to do it. Regardless of what anyone tries to tell you or try and scare you into being quite. Please, for the sake of all of our children. Call the D.A. and press charges.

yeah he has to eat bad food, but the woman he killed can't. And as far as the molesting charges, my son was one of the ones he molested. And i hope he has many, many boyfriends in prison. I hope he rots in hell! And if he cared about people and all of the stuff everybody says he does, why did the police find a satanic bible at his residence?????????? And as far as that being out of his character to drive while intoxicated, that is a lie because he has done it for years...and everyone knows it. It makes me disgusted that anyone would want to praise him or feel sorry for him. He deserves everything he gets and then some!
