COOKE COUNTY, Tex. -- As a result of recent wildfires in Cooke County, judge bill freeman has declared a state of disaster and the county's emergency management plan has been implemented. That means certain regulations will now take effect:
-The sale and use of all fireworks and other pyrotechnic materials are prohibited.
-Welding and other activities that could produce fire are prohibited.
Freeman says the disaster status should not last longer than a week, but the restrictions could continue if conditions fail to improve.
