CHOCTAW COUNTY, Okla. -- A Frogville man accused of killing his girlfriend and then holding an eight-hour standoff in a tree appeared in a Choctaw County court Tuesday morning. .
Charles Lennox had a pretrial hearing in Hugo this morning. Lennox has been ordered to submit saliva samples for DNA testing.
This stems from an incident last may when sheriff's deputies say Lennox suffocated Marquita Cherry, his girlfriend and mother of their four children.
Deputies say when they arrived, Lennox tried to run away, but climbed into a tree 30 feet in the air with a noose around his neck and threatened to kill himself.
His next court date is scheduled for March 4.
