LONE GROVE, Okla. -- Two weeks after the water service in Lone Grove was shut down when weed killer contaminated the system, nine homes remain without water.
Meanwhile, state agencies are mulling charges against the company responsible for the contamination.
About 1,300 customers in the town have been having major water problems since January 23 when a business owner inadvertently siphoned a concentrated weed killer into the city's water supply while he was trying to dilute the concentrate inside a spray rig.
A water main break created a backflow in the water lines, causing the chemicals to be sucked into the water system.
