BONHAM, Tex. -- A Bonham man is behind bars after sheriff’s deputies found an operational indoor marijuana garden in his home.
Levi Jordan Stroud, 23, was arrested and charged with delivery of marijuana over five pounds and unlawful possession of a criminal instrument.
Investigators say Stroud was caught carrying several large items into the home, all of which were used to grow marijuana.
When a warrant was issued, officials found 28 plants, more than five pounds of marijuana, a loaded handgun and over $1,000 in cash.
"He was in the process of raising marijuana inside the home. He had a nice little setup going [using] very expensive lighting and had a pump system," Fannin County Sheriff Kenneth Moore said.
His bond has been set for over $25,000.
