Texans can now vote online for their favorite license plate design. The choice is between the current plate or one of four new designs.

The Texas Transportation Commission will have the final say, but officials say the commission will likely pick the design the public chooses.

Officials say the new plate will add a seventh digit because the state is running out of six-digit combinations. It is the first number addition to Texas plates in 30 years.

Where can one go to find out the current standings of the license plates? No bluebonnets. The "cities" skylines one leaves out too many Texas cities. That leaves three others.
