SHERMAN, Tex. -- A Lubbock, Texas, man is behind bars after police say he was trying to sell a semi-automatic weapon in Sherman.

Police say they saw two suspicious men at the Sunshine Foods on South Dewey. One of the men had a handgun in his lap.

Officers say they found a .40-caliber high point semi automatic weapon inside the car. Its serial numbers were scratched off.

Police arrested 22-year-old Joshua Alexander for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. They say he told police he was wanted to sell the gun in the Sherman area.

The other man was interviewed and released.

GASH! A semi-automatic weapon,,, That sounds really scary!!! This guy is an idiot and a proper scumbag.. but to report a semi-auto weapon like its somehow something exotic is just some reporter trying to sensationalize things.
