DENISON, Tex. -- The man police say gunned down a victim in broad daylight Wednesday is in custody.
Denison police say 20-year-old Lekevius Marcell Thomas of Denison walked into the Grayson County Sheriff's Office early Friday morning and was booked into the county jail.
Thomas is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
At last check the victim is listed in critical but stable condition at a Dallas hospital.
The shots rang out around 12:15 p.m. Wednesday inside the home at 27 B McArthur in the Perrin Estates subdivision just east of the airport.
Lt. Mike Eppler of the Denison Police Department says the initial call came in concerning a man at the Longhorn Convenience Store at Highway 691 and FM 1417 that had been shot.
Police are still investigating the motive for the shooting.
Thomas faces up to twenty years in prison and a $10,000 fine if found guilty.
