LONE GROVE, OK - Residents in Lone Grove turned out for a city council meeting; some of them still angry over a recent water outage.

One resident at the meeting even asked for the removal of the city manager.

There were tense moments at Tuesday's council meeting, as residents spoke out about the recent water crisis in Lone Grove.

Resident Casey Botts was visibly upset with city leaders about the issue. Her husband is a former city employee and she says his recent termination was unwarranted.

Botts asked council members to fire City Manager Marianne Elfert. Council members took no action on Bott's request.

Communication was also an issue discussed. Brandon Moss was out of water for 8-days. He says communication between city officials and residents could have been better.

Elfert says she is working on a incident report which she plans to send to state officials.

I am tired of hearing some of the public say that the city manager is doing some good for the comunity, even if she is going about it WRONG! When asked what good she has done the same response is over the new sewer system she has got for us. The question is when will this get under way? She may have got it approved, but what's the holdup?

Im with you on the fact that little hitler is running the show...are we, as citizens of lone grove gonna let her set back and let her have total distruction on our town! You go Mrs. Potts for standing up for what you believe in! For the rest of this town, lets support this petition!

I am sure that nothing will be accomplished by having a petition signed by this town due to the tiny fact that it's all about politics! BUT, this will show the city manager that her assumption that 99.9% of this town supports her is FALSE! Way to go Mrs. Potts for standing up not only for your husband, but for the hard working citizens of this community that have no choice but to be ordered to comply to what suits the city manager without listening to our viewpoints. She wants her NEW WORLD ORDER and will step on ALL of our toes to get it! If it suits her needs than she is all for it. If not, watch out Lone Grove, little hitler will have her way!!!!! Sign me up for whatever good it will do, but I'm sure her little soldiers (city council) will be to afraid to stand up for us, and evil will win once again!!!

has the city manager in lone grove considered running for president. she seems to have all the qualifications of sitting on her as- and doing nothing and then telling lies on everyone else. maybe she sould call hillary and see about becoming her running mate. she's about as smart as she is. as for the man that was fired. get a lawyer and sue them for evertything excert the water (it might not be safe yet). maybe lone grove need to think about changing their name to 'LITTLE MEXICO' since you can't drink the water. get the potition and get her out ot the office. maybe your wife (mrsl Potts) could run for city manager. seems like she is not afraid to voice her opion. it seems like lone grove is getting more like madill. dictators running everything

What makes you think that just because you get this petition signed that they will fire the city manager. By the time it even gets that far no one will care anymore.

You can't SERIOUSLY beleive your petition will be taken into consideration. What a joke...you need to get a life and do something positive for your family. I've heard of 15 seconds of fame but this is a comedy.
