MARSHALL COUNTY, Okla. -- The woman accused of a killing a Carter County Sheriff’s deputy Kenny Mashore's wife and child in a head on car accident will spend a year in jail.
Amanda Thompson, 22, was sentenced to one year in the Marshall County Jail and five years probation for first degree manslaughter and negligent homicide charges.
Investigators say Thompson was under the influence of an intoxicating substance at the time of the June 18, 2007, crash on Highway 70 that killed Betsy and Kennan Mashore.
