NORMAN, OK -- Kevin Underwood was found guilty of first-degree murder after less than 30 minutes of jury deliberations.

Authorities say the Purcell man murdered 10-year-old Jamie Rose Bolin in 2006 in what authorities believe was part of a cannibalistic plot.

The jury is expected to return Monday for the start of the penalty phase.

Prosecutors say they will ask for the death penalty.

This is an act of the Devil!I pray that GOD'S WILL be done in every decision to be made in this case. This is the sad truth of things that happen when we don't have the Holy Spirit guiding our every day living.I can't help but wonder how many times this young man had been in the presence of Christian's who just failed to share the Gospel with him, just assuming he had already heard it or that it was "not their job" to share it with him;or even worse, didn't think about it at all.I think us Christians are all guilty of this to some degree.I challenge those of you reading this(myself included) to be on purpose about sharing Christ with people so that we may experience a defeat of the Devil in our communities. My heart truly breaks for the family of this innocent little girl.I pray that God gives them a peace that surpasses all understanding!

Big Bertha, you are absolutely correct. He will die in prison. Remember the young man who killed the little girl in Pottsboro a few years ago? My brother was one of the officers who transported him to Huntsville, and the man was dead before my brother got back to Sherman. I pray for Jamie's family that God will give them strength and comfort.

They should kill him the say way he killed little Jamie. And let him see what she went through. Or put him in some prison where the other inmates do not like people that kill innocent children and let them have their way with him and he will wish he was DEAD.

It took them 30 minutes to reach this verdict....Why so long, did they take a coffee break? That is the face of evil.

Finally an Oklahoma jury with some sense! I was beginning to lose hope in the OK justice system due to some of the recent cases there. Now Fry this sorry scumbag and send him to hell where he belongs!! Thanks Mr. X for that thought.
