As round two of the winter weather blast hits this week, auto experts are warning drivers to be careful. Car maintenance is always a concern with snow and ice, especially now that temperatures are dropping and the precipitation is picking up.
Car care experts say to check your tires before you head out on the roads.
"The best thing you can do as far as your tires are concerned are 1. Make sure you have the proper air pressure in them and 2. Make sure they have enough tread to channel the ice and snow away from the contact patch," Discount Tire’s Bobby Hill says.
Channeling that ice and snow away from the vehicle is what gives you more traction if you absolutely have to venture out in these conditions.
