1 seriously burned in Sherman apartment fire

SHERMAN, TX -- One man is seriously burned in an apartment fire. It happened at the Diamond Oaks Apartments on LaSalle Drive in Sherman.

Firefighters say preliminary observations show it may be related to the fireplace and a gas can.

One man suffered second-degree burns on 40% of his body.

EMS crews drove him to Parkland Hospital for treatment. He couldn't be airlifted due to the weather.

    Praying for the poor man! I saw the ambulance and 2 firetrucks exiting off Hwey 82 onto Loy Lake, and wondered what was happening...
