DURANT, Okla. -- A teenager is arrested accused of a string of crimes, one of which left a woman hospitalized.

For Samantha Balrymple, having her car stolen was bad enough, but when she heard whoever took it may have used her car to hit another person, she was in complete disbelief.

Durant police say a black sedan was stolen from the Big Lots Distribution Center about 4:20 Wednesday morning. Then roughly two hours later, police say the same car was in an accident on Tennessee Street.

A 33-year-old woman was hit by the car, falling off the front hood.

Police say the suspect may have known the victim. She was eventually flown to the hospital with injuries. The car was returned to Balrymple.

"That’s what my husband was saying. We're going to be marked as the ones that hit that woman, and it wasn't even us," Samantha says.

Police arrested a 17-year-old man at the apartment complex where police found the stolen car. The Bryan County District Attorney's Office is deciding whether to charge the teen as an adult.

No word on the extent of the injured woman's condition.

Charge him as an adult, he will go to TYC where he can get away with whatever. I agree, we should discipline our kids more severly!

Beverly I would have to agree with you. I am 29 years old and my father raised me the way his parents raised him. Now I am raising my kids the same way. I do not have a problem with them they mind me.

I agree with Beverly. If my kids did something like that, they better pray the police get to them before I did. Our society it spiraling downward. I fear how low we can truely go.

we would not have this problem, with debating should a teen ager be charged as an adult if parents were allowed to disaplene (spelled wrong) their kid with out fear of going to jail, also need Jesus Christ back in schools. the world is messed up. this "TIME OUT" thing is a joke. i'm not saying beat your kids. but the way we are suppose to raise our kids is not working. the way our grandparents did worked well, they were fair but tough.
