PONTOTOC COUNTY, Okla. -- Pontotoc County authorities have confirmed they are holding an inmate in the county jail who has tested positive for tuberculosis.

We first told you Wednesday that Jeffrey Scott Standrige was arrested on charges of felony domestic abuse.

Authorities say Sandridge has been in the county lockup for several days now and is being isolated from other prisoners.

The health department is aware of the positive result of that first test. They are conducting more tests for confirmation. Those results should be back sometime next week.

It is unclear how Standridge may have contracted the potentially fatal disease.

aloha, my name is april, and the gentlemen named in the above column, is in fact my father. i would like to see a confirmation on the TB results, because i don't believe that this is a true statement. if the results are in fact negative for tb, i would appreciate it if you would take this column off your website. thank you for your understanding. April, we later ran a follow up story in which we reported that he did not have TB- http://www.kxii.com/home/headlines/17107286.html
