CHOCTAW COUNTY, Okla. -- A former Sawyer, Oklahoma, police chief has been sentenced for sexually assaulting a driver.
A federal judge sentenced Coke Douglas Makerney, 48, to eight years in prison Wednesday morning.
Makerney pleaded guilty to the charges last November.
Investigators say Makerney had sex with a female driver when he pulled her over in a traffic stop.
Makerney will have three years supervised release after he serves his time in prison.
