GRAYSON COUNTY, Tex. -- Seniors around the area are attending a one-stop-shop health fair on Tuesday. Dozens of people stopped by the senior center in Denison Tuesday morning to get their blood pressure, eyes, hearing, blood sugar, and even their alignment, checked.
A group of health care providers called the Wellness Alliance are providing screenings at no charge. Organizers say it is important to make health care accessible to everyone.
"We're coming to where they are, they already do a lot of functions here. They’re on a restricted income so this whole event is at no charge to them because they are on a restricted income," Amy Knight, of the Wellness Alliance, says.
Seniors who missed the early event in Denison were able to attend the fair at the Sherman Senior Center Tuesday afternoon.
