LAKE RAY ROBERTS, Tex. -- Authorities have found the body of a 51-year old man who went missing on Lake Ray Roberts on Sunday.

Texas Parks and Wildlife officials say the game warden found the body of Alan Riddels in the lake around 8:30 Monday morning.

Officials say Riddles' boat capsized on the rough waters while he was fishing with his 20-year-old son. The son was able to make it to shore where he was treated for hypothermia and then helped search for his dad.

Folks...may I nicely suggest that you not jump to any conclusions about this accident...remember there are family members grieving a loss of a father, grandfather and friend.

No, life jackets are not always 100% effective. Neither are seat belts. But they are better than nothing. The old saying "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" makes alot of sense. It's a sad story, God bless the family.

Life Jackets are not 100 % effective. People should not jump to conclusions because they hear one story on the news.

When the lake is rough, a life jacket should be worn at all times, especially in a low profile fishing boat. Sad ending for something that could have been easily prevented.
