Oklahoma carjacking ends in Gainesville with suspect on the loose

GAINESVILLE, TX – A woman who was carjacked near Oklahoma City was kicked out of her vehicle in Gainesville, and the suspect is still on the run.

The woman told Gainesville police she had just gotten off work in Yukon, Oklahoma, when she was approached by a Hispanic male in the Wal-Mart parking lot waving a map as though he needed directions. He then pulled out a gun and forced the woman into her vehicle and ordered her to drive south to Texas.

When arriving in Gainesville, the suspect ordered her to stop at a gas station near Broadway and Rusk. The suspect then kicked her out of her vehicle and fled.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his early 30’s with short black hair, wearing blue jeans and a Los Angeles Raiders t-shirt.

Gainesville police found the victim’s black Chevy Blazer a few blocks away.

The suspect is still on the loose at as of Wednesday afternoon.
