DENISON., TX -- Part of a building in the 600 block of South Armstrong collapsed when a severe storm blew through about four o'clock Thursday morning.

Denison police say the building was abandoned. In fact, construction had already started on the back side. They say strong, straight-line winds caused the damage.

This may be a little off subject, but there are many buildings in the area that need to come down. Yet we let one side of town go the he** while we destroy another side that has lots of wildlife and open country (i.e. Schuler's development out by Grandpappy) that will only benefit the rich. It's time to start realizing that we need to take care of what we have.

Just one of the many crappy buildings in the Sherman/Denison area that should've been razed already...

Great, that's one more building Denison won't have to worry about!
