FANNIN COUNTY, Tex. -- Parts of Leonard, Texas, saw some areas of damage. People are cleaning up their homes, city crews are tending to the streets, and school maintenance workers are trying to clean up after the roof blew off of school buildings.

The storms were hit and miss across the town, with some places receiving plenty of damage. Other spots didn't sustain any damage.

Many people say they are thankful it wasn't worse, but Holly Cross received damage to her home of only two weeks.

"I have an 11 month old, and my instincts were to protect her... go to the closet, etc. It’s what our parents taught us," Cross said.

For the most part, life went uninterrupted on Thursday in Leonard, and students were still in school, but cleanup is expected to take some time.
