SHERMAN, Tex. -- Sherman police say a driver who crossed the center median on Highway 75 and caused a head-on collision which killed a local school principal Monday may have nodded off at the wheel.
Police say sleep is a possible contributing factor in that crash.
Jeremy Wayne Sanders was driving the car that hit Penny Raines and her grandson Monday morning.
Raines died from her injuries.
Her grandson, Nicholas Bailey, has been upgraded to fair condition.
No word on Sanders' condition.
