Sherman gym wants to get kids up and moving

SHERMAN, Tex.-- Childhood obesity is a growing epidemic and a growing concern for parents. One local gym is trying to change that.

Anytime Fitness is celebrating their one-year anniversary by helping make our kids and our community more healthy.

On Friday, they provided free health-conscious food cooked by Chef Cathy Zeis, along with tips to get kids active this summer. They will also be hosting several free seminars in the upcoming weeks on topics including childhood obesity, women's health, and starting a workout plan.

April 17 – ‘Women's Fitness”, 6:00 PM
April 24 – “Getting Your Workout Started”, 6:00 PM
May 1 – “Preventing Childhood Obesity”, 6:00 PM

    there is always a catch to these things,people get it in writng that it is FREE.

    Kids are fat because their parents too easily give in to their demands for video games and junk food. And heaven forbid, if any kids are seen playing outside (even in their own yards), the neighbors call CPS.
